A new website has sprung up recently called Community Action Network. The website goes in to much detail about the reasons community action is so important, and reflects very well the motivations I had when starting this site, and my activism within the community.
The Community Action Network is a UK wide coalition of community groups, who aim to learn from each other, educate each other, and share skills and experiences for the benefit of all. They highlight many of the issues we as communities face form our current political and social systems such as inequality, housing issues and poverty. And like me, also believe that the solution to many of our environmental and social problems lies within communities.
The Community Action Network will be holding a meeting this Saturday in Nottingham that I intend to attend, and I would be happy to take anyone else with me who would like to go. Take a look at their site:
